Rain

“Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain”
–unknown-

I adore the rain, always have, and always will.

I think rain is magic

It has a way of washing worries away and creating a clean slate.

I love the sound, the smell, the taste of rain.

I love to step outside and feel the drops on my face, to take my shoes off and splash in the lukewarm puddles.

Rain makes me want to strip off all of my clothes and go run around in it like a crazy woman.  One day I may act on that.  Watch out.

As soon as the “threat” of showers is forecasted, I rush to throw open the windows so that I can capture the essence of a rain storm in my home.

I lived, for a short time, in an apartment that had big skylight windows situated directly over my bed.  The best sleep I ever had was when the rain would fall on those skylights and I would fall asleep lulled by the sound.

My forever home will have those skylights, of that I am sure.  I also think that wherever I eventually end up, rain will be a common weather pattern.

I am appreciative of these little unexpected bursts of happiness…..Thank you weather gods.

  3. You love California rain...not Washington rain. Let's just clarify that! I love the rain too...Texas rain is particularly exciting, like torrential downpour with lightening and thunder only. Very loud...very theatrical.

  4. I love lukewarm rain, too. Rain that you can comfortably run around in- heaven. Southern rain is great, lightning in the afternoon- Hawaiian showers that last ten minutes- big rolling clouds over the desert heat that cool everything off- yes. Freezing cold rain... mostly no. Only if I don't have to go anywhere and I can put a fire in the fireplace.

Do you think the rain will bend to my extensive demands?

  5. Yes, I should have clarified. I love warm, California rain. The kind you could actually run around in naked without fear of hypothermia :) Love you guys xoxo.
