First Birthday

This weekend we went to a birthday party.  

Gavin Foret's first birthday party to be exact.

I love first birthdays.  I know essentially these joyful celebrations are really more for the adults than they are for the child.  Let's face it, they won't really remember the party.  But for all of us in attendance, the day is a celebration of the first year of the child's life.  A chance to reflect and remember all of the numerous milestones that the first year brings. 

This was probably one of the best first birthdays I have ever had the chance to participate in.

This is one lucky little boy.  The amount of love that was poured on this little guy was delightful.

He has wonderful parents, grandparents, extended family, and friends, and I am convinced that they were all in attendance to celebrate him.

All of the key elements that go into making a good party were present.  

Good family, good friends, good food, good weather....

oh, and good cake!

A bounce house was even provided for the bigger kids.  

FUN, FUN, FUN!

So much fun that Logan somehow managed to escape my camera all day long.  

Remy "dug" the sandbox (sorry, couldn't help myself).

We even got to see friends who we haven't seen in awhile.

The Pitcher's!  We missed you guys!

It's great to have our kids back together again.

Ready for you to babysit Miss Braxton.

 ...and presents were opened.

 It was a lovely day.

 Made even better by fun goody bags that the kids got to take home.

Thank you so much Craig and Donnelle for opening up your home, we had a great time.

Thank you Danny and Rachel for having such great kids that we all are fortunate enough to love and celebrate.
