This is a holiday that Jeryd and I don't usually participate in. I mean come on, shouldn't everyday be LOVE day? There is no need for silly cards or chocolates (especially while dieting). I did send him an I love you text, but that is about the extent of my participation in this holiday.
I never celebrated V-day as a kid. I never exchanged valentines or had an excuse to tell "Evan Clark" that I had a crush on him all throughout grade school. Since I was deprived as a child I now live vicariously through my own. Exhibit A....Logan's Valentines day card:
He was concerned that the kids would make fun of him but he let me make them anyway. I will let you know how well they went over after I pick him up from school today.
The idea of this holiday is fantastic and romantic but not really necessary. Maybe that is the fun......that it is a superfluous day...
Anyway, to the man I love: Although I may not write poems and songs for you, know that you are the love of my life and I am incredibly grateful that we have chosen to share this life together.
It has been nine years that we have been together and I wouldn't trade that for the world.......xoxox
Happy Valentines day everyone!

such a cute couple. Im with you on the not celebrating, although I have a stubborn husband, who in the interest of the "just to be safe" type mentality, gets me a little something every year anyway.
