So I wrote up a blog entry on Friday but I never got a chance to post it so I will recap a little bit.
I spent all of Thursday night getting up every few hours with miss Scarlet. She used to go to bed around 9pm, and then sleep till about 3am or so, then go back to bed until 6am. Now it seems that she is up constantly. I try taking her to bed with me but that little girl is so squirmy I end up getting NO sleep at all. (Friday night wasn’t much different).
After getting up all throughout the night with Lettie, Friday morning didn't start any better. I awoke to cat barf on the floor and cat pee on little miss' bouncy seat. Our cats are retarted. Oh and then I got 4 seconds to jump in the shower and I grabbed the conditioner, thinking it was shampoo, and washed my hair with it. This left 2 seconds to shampoo the hell out of it as fast as I could, and no time at all to utilize the face wash. Ugh. I don't know about you guys, but being a mommy, I feel sweaty and slimy most days. And days when I am able to bathe, I am only able to do the bare minimum; I haven't shaved my legs in months (poor Jeryd).
The day steadily improved. I got Logan ready and to school on time with minimal yelling and arguing. I played choo-choos with Rem and snuggled with my girl (among other fun things with the kids). Remy also spent the whole morning in panties (don't laugh, that's what they are called in my house, even for boys), and he didn't have any accidents! He's on a roll. Who knew potty training could be so exciting.

| I thought I would spare you the picture that came next, but you can bet your bum I took a picture. He is going to love these pictures later in life. |
I was also able to put makeup on (that rarely happens, and I like makeup), and I did all my housework, so the day got a little better. I did spend the day in sweat pants though and I never got around to harnessing my breasts, but screw it...my face looked pretty and my kids were happy....SUCCESS!
(Here are a few of the pics I took throughout the week:)

| This is one of the only toys that has survived both of the boy's. I love it and so does little miss. |
So Friday ended on a good note and today was a really mellow, good day. We started off the day going to Huckleberry’s (A local health food store/bistro), where I enjoyed some eggs and bacon along with a phenomenal cup of coffee. We then shopped a little there and then headed to our favorite place….COSTCO. I swear that is where we go to have some quality family time, the kids love it and get super excited every time we see a sample cart, god forbid if we let them have a hot-dog afterwards…I swear, it’s a party.
Anyway, after Costco I got to go to Macy’s were I splurged nicely at the MAC makeup counter….Mama is happy. The rest of the day was fantastically pleasant, ended on a high note of finishing off a Junie B Jones book with Logan and Rem (If any of you have kindergarten and up children, those books are the best. I find myself cracking up while reading them). Now all of my babies are in their jammies, (with freshly brushed teeth) and sleeping soundly. Amen.
P.S. Paleo is still going good, it's been 5 days so far. I made the boys mac and cheese last night though and I seriously started salivating. I restrained myself, however I questioned my desire (or sanity) to follow through with the one month plan. Oh man as soon as this is over I want some mac and cheese. On the plus side, despite being sleep deprived, I feel like I have more energy –Today Logan and I went for a 2 mile jog (Lucky Logan got to ride his scooter). So now this lady is off to bed.
Good night everyone, I hope you all have had a great weekend!

I have to harness my breasts from the moment I wake up. I feel like an African tribalist if I don't!
ReplyDeleteI remember those nights with Ronan...I always use the saying...that this too will pass. Nothing like being sleep and carbohydrate deprived.
You made me laugh....
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously I feel like I am torturing myself a little....carbs and sleep are two of my favorite things.
Haha "harnessing my breasts" this whole entry made me miss the heck out of you. xox
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAA you seriously crack me up. Harness your breasts. I have to sleep with them harnessed or they will leak everywhere! Oh darn the baby woke up. Keep posting I LOVE reading!!!
