Back to School

*First:

I would like to take this moment to acknowledge the birthday of my very best friend.

I am so thankful that you were born.

You are the person I turn to, the first one to whom I share all of life's happenings.

I know that you are, and will always be there for me,

and I find myself wondering, "how did I get so lucky"?

Thank you for your friendship.

You are a wonderful person/friend/mom/daughter,

and those who are fortunate to have you in their lives are among the most blessed.  

I hope you have a fantastic birthday, and I can't wait to celebrate with you!

Now....

First day of school post!

It was a week ago but it has taken me that long to catch up.

It's been busy, busy, busy over here.

I think I have finally come to terms with my official role.

"Bus driver"

I swear, we are constantly in the car.

Here is our routine thus far:

Wake up, get everyone else up/dressed/fed, drop Logan off, drop Rem off, come home for 2.5 hours, pick up rem, come home for lunch/nap, pick up Logan, drive home, homework, dinner, bath, bed.

Repeat.

I'm not complaining though.

It will make the time go by faster so that is good.

On the first day Logan had an "I got this" attitude.

He obliged me with a few pictures, so this mama was happy.

Then he was done.

"get out of here mom" (said with love of course)

 Remy was a little more hesitant.

Sister and I helped him out.

My sweet Remy...

...he did good.

And this Mama is proud.  

 The only hiccup of this whole process so far is that Sister is pissed that she doesn't get to go.

Every morning is a battle when we drop Remy off.

She throws a bit of a fit.

We have compromised (given up) and now stay for the first 15 minutes of class when they do song time.

So far this has pacified her.
