Daddy's Home!....For Now

It felt like Christmas eve Monday night.  The excitement the anticipation (the inability to sleep) all surrounding the imminent arrival of our most favorite person.  Daddy.  He was only gone for five weeks (there have of course been longer stretches), but it felt way longer than that.  Needless to say, we were all ready for him to be home.
I tried to keep myself busy Tuesday morning.  But the time dragged.
After, what seemed like forever, we headed out to pick Logan up from school, and then we all made our way over to the airport.
The Sacramento Airport has this free parking area where you can wait if you are too early (which of course we were).  The airplanes fly right over the car.  We kept ourselves busy imagining the distant places that the planes had traveled from, it was fun.

Car is parked and off.  I promise I don't drive with my children on my lap.

And........Daddy is home......although he leaves again in a couple of weeks.
So for now we are enjoying every minute with him while we have him.

******

He has left me something to do in his absence however.

Check this out.

For his thirtieth birthday Jeryd wants to run a marathon. Somehow he has talked me in to participating.  I am not doing the whole thing but I thought that half of it was doable.  I agreed before he told me that the course is a trail run up and over this "grizzly" mountain.  I am doing it though.  I've given birth 3 times, this should be nothing right?....right?.....oh man, wish me luck.
