Making Memories

Instead of being lazy and staying home last Sunday, we decided to take a drive.

And we drove to....

......LAKE TAHOE!

Tahoe is one of my favorite places on earth,

Little cold Logan?

and despite the frigid water temperatures,

my kids loved it too.

Last time I was there was when Logan was just a year old.  I am happy to be closer so that I can watch them enjoy the same beaches that I played at when I was little.

Although there wasn't much of a beach....

The water was the highest I have ever seen it.

But there was still room to play,

and play we did. 

 Scarlet decided that eating the sand was where all the fun was,

and she decided to shovel away.

I gave up trying to stop her after awhile.

We swam,

 we sunned,

we played,

and we.......

...slept.

It was peaceful, fun, and a really great day.

I am turning thirty on the 25th.  Jeryd is taking me on a weekend vacation sans kids.  I am more than a little excited.  Can't wait to share out adventure with you.
