Experiencing the Joy

I have really been appreciating my children this week.  Last week was a hard week, probably because we were all sick and miserable, and the weather outside matched the mood.   Last week I would have been happy to hand my kids over to someone willing, if only for a few sacred moments to myself.  Last week I would have killed to be closer to grandma and have her come over unannounced to give this mama a break.  Last week I had to step outside more times then I care to count to grab that moment of peace away from the whining and the needing.  Last week was a difficult week.  If you are a mama I am sure you have experienced moments like those. I believe that it is moments like those that prove your worth in this job called motherhood, because it ain't for everyone.  This job is difficult and brings you to tears, but those tears can materialize from both stress and the unparalleled joy that comes with the career field.  Last week was full of stress, but this week I have experienced the joy.

The joy of.....

Sweet baby girls dressed in pink, happy to play the day away with their newly discovered toys....

...Of sweet, soft, pink baby feet that you can't help but bring to your mouth and kiss....

....Of little boy's who want nothing more from you than a moment of your time to color with their new crayons...

...Of sweet little boys....

....who truly love each other..

.....of ornery little boy's

...who love the word STOP....

......And thoroughly enjoy bossing big brother around......

....and of course the joy of sweet sleeping babies, who want nothing more than to grab a moment of peace in their mothers arms.....

I am incredibly grateful that I get to be their mom, and although we may have our bad days (or weeks), I feel incredibly lucky to have them as my children.

Logan, Remy, Scarlet.......
Thank you for being my kids.
