Over the mountain and through the woods...
...to celebrate Easter this year.
Jeryd couldn't come with us, which is always a bummer, but we made the best of it.
My sweet nephew Nolan may be the sweetest baby ever.
We all love him to pieces.

Sister loves him too....

The kids got to spend the Saturday before Easter with their Granni and P-Pa.
Granni and P-Pa took them to an event that refreshed their egg-hunting skills.
The were also introduced to the Easter bunny.
I am told that it did not go over so well,
maybe even scarred them for life...
(we decided to test that on Sunday).

Sunday:
My kids woke up at the butt crack of dawn...
...and devoured their loot.

Pop-Pop even got in on the action.
Then came the hunt.
Eggs, eggs everywhere.
Sister would find an egg and then sit and enjoy the contents before searching for more.
The kids had a blast!
And then we had a visitor!
My moms friend Patti (who I am named after), drove down with her grown children
and an Easter bunny costume.
Her daughter Krista donned the suit.
Remy conquered his fear...
...sister, not so much.

Everyone else was ecstatic.
Thank you Patti, Krista and Kyle!
You all made this a very memorable Easter.

The Easter bunny brought even more sugar
so of course that had to be consumed before we did anything else.
Once everyone was sufficiently stuffed,
we headed out to the ocean.
The waves were crazy and at one point they decided they wanted to take Remy in.
This mama had to run into the waves, fully clothed, to save his life before he was swept away.
It was a lovely day though.
It is always so nice to be with the ones you love.

| Remy survived his near death experiance and decided to write his name in the sand rather than brave the waves. |
