Can't Get Enough

 Well,

Life has surprised us yet again.

Our plans that we had are no longer.

In an effort to get Logan somewhere for a solid and consistent High school experience,

Jeryd volunteered for a one year remote.

Our understanding was that because he volunteered for an undesirable assignment,

 we would be able to request a specific follow-on.

He put in a request for Spokane.

The follow-on would allow us to go up to Spokane and get settled before he left.

The major factor was that Logan could start high school and finish it where he started.

Our follow-on to Spokane got denied.

We found ourselves scrambling for another plan.

Less than a week after our follow-on was denied, we found ourselves back in the Valley.

Logan is registered to start high school at the same school that Jeryd and I went to.

The littles are going to my same elementary school.

It is all a little surreal.

It is the best option however.

There is no way I could have (would have) stayed in Louisiana for over a year by myself.

I am incredibly grateful that I am here, and that I have the support of our family and friends while Jeryd is gone.

We are going to make the best of this situation.

It is all going to be OK.

 ******

I sure am going to miss this guy though.

I'm trying not to think about it.

I just have to keep busy.

We were definitely busy yesterday.

My oldest turned 14!

I can hardly believe it.

I also don't know how that happened.

It feels like just yesterday he was my little chubby baby.

It's crazy how fast the time goes.

 He wanted to go play laser tag for his birthday so we headed to Santa Cruz.

 It was super fun.

 Usually, because we are so far from family and friends, birthdays are spent just with our little family.

 It was so wonderful

(and very much appreciated),

to have so many take the time to come celebrate with us.

 Logan was thrilled.

It really made his day.

Being able to be with the people that we love is wonderful.

Truly priceless.

I may never leave again.

These two can't get enough of each other.
